FOURTH PHASE OF ELECTROCHEM GHANA’S WOMEN EMPOWERMENT SCHEME LAUNCHED

Electrochem Ghana proudly announces the fourth disbursement from its Four Million Cedis revolving fund, aimed at empowering women in the Ada community through interest-free loans. This initiative is a testament to Electrochem Ghana’s unwavering commitment to social responsibility and community development.

Empowering Women, Building Futures

The revolving fund, initially set at three million cedis is now increased to four million cedis and is projected to expand into a ten million cedis interest-free loan plan. This initiative is designed to support women entrepreneurs and small business owners in Ada, providing them with the financial resources needed to start or expand their businesses. By eliminating the burden of interest payments, Electrochem Ghana enables these women to focus on growing their enterprises and improving their livelihoods.

“We believe in the potential of women to drive economic growth and development in their communities,” said Naana Adiki Manyeyo Adi I, Head of the Sustainable Programs Department at Electrochem Ghana. “This program is about more than just financial support; it’s about empowering women to achieve their dreams and create a better future for themselves and their families.”

A Lifeline for Women Entrepreneurs

Access to capital is a significant challenge for many women in Ada, where traditional financial institutions often impose high interest rates and stringent loan conditions. Electrochem Ghana’s interest-free loan program addresses this barrier, offering a lifeline to those who need it most.

The program is open to women of all ages and backgrounds, with a particular focus on those who have shown a commitment to their community and demonstrated strong business acumen. Loan recipients will also receive mentorship and business development support from Electrochem Ghana, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge necessary for success.

Community Impact

This initiative has already had a profound impact on the Ada community. By supporting women entrepreneurs, Electrochem Ghana is helping to create jobs, stimulate local economies, and promote sustainable development. The ripple effect of this support is felt throughout the community, as successful businesses contribute to the overall economic health and stability of the region.

One of the first recipients of the interest-free loan, Ernestina Nartey, expressed her gratitude: “This loan has given me the opportunity to expand my small business and provide better for my family. I am incredibly grateful to Electrochem Ghana for believing in me and supporting my dreams.”

A Commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility

Electrochem Ghana has a long history of commitment to corporate social responsibility. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to support education, healthcare, and economic development in the communities where the company operates. By investing in the potential of women, Electrochem Ghana is investing in the future of Ghana.

“We are committed to making a positive impact in the communities we serve,” said Naana Adiki Manyeyo Adi I. “Our interest-free loan program started with 3 Million cedis and an additional 1 million has been added to expand to more women, This is just one way we are working to create opportunities and support sustainable development in Ada.”

Looking Ahead

As Electrochem Ghana continues to grow and expand its operations, the company remains dedicated to its mission of supporting community development and empowerment. The interest-free loan program for women in Ada is just the beginning, with plans to extend similar initiatives to other communities in the near future.

Electrochem Ghana invites other businesses and organizations to join in this effort to support women entrepreneurs and promote economic growth across Ghana. Together, we can build a brighter future for all.
